Core Competencies
Knowledge and expertiese gained
in one area of regenerative medicine can often be applied to
the development of other areas. Essential to these advancements,
however, is providing researcher with the proper tools to facilitate
their work. Toward this end, the Institute has identified critical
Core Competencies to enhance all Institute research. Strong
groups focused on cell biology, developmental biology, gene
therapy, imagine protein design and expression, biomaterials,
bioengineering and biotransport, and clinical translation are
among the resources Institute researchers can draw upon. Below
is a listing of the critical areas of research that the Institute
regards as core competencies.
