Olympus Microscopes and American Laboratory acknowledged in a recent issue the world-wide reputation of Dr. Simon Watkins and his colleagues for their pioneering research in life-science imaging. The caption with the photograph at the right reads: “At Dr. Simon's lab, they look at cells the way that anthropologists look at human culture: as communities of good and bad guys, of traders and communicators, of connections and relationships. “We are the observers,” Simon says. “We never jump to conclusions. We let the conclusions jump to us.” His mantra? “Imaging is everything.” Which is why the best and brightest of tomorrow's seekers and solvers find their way to Pittsburgh and the Watkins Lab.”
Congratulations to the Watkins Lab!!
